All BS aside - I'm thinking Vent has an advantage in the fact that it is a staple program for voice chat - a lot of current users will already have the software and are familiar with it, as opposed to with mumble where they'll have to install a completely new application that they'll need to figure out. Now, its not like setting up mumble is rocket science, but I think generally people don't want to be bothered with installing yet another voice program, especially if its one that's going to get such limited use.

Mumble *is* better quality than Vent, but then again, Betamax was better than VHS too. Just sayin'...
A transition from Vent to Mumble would take time, and not: install Mumble today, cancel Vent tomorrow. That's what I've been saying the entire time, but saving $20/month was more important apparently...


@ Steve :: been around, but busy at work (even have to come in on Saturdays for the next l'il while), and I recently had a medical emergency pertaining to my right eye and was in/out of the ER/specialist office/hospital for a bit.

I don't see why Mumble would be taken down, even if we got Vent back. The shit is fucking free!!!
