I didn't look into the truth (or lies?) behind that, but some of the things he did/said were preeeeeetty bad. Plus, it was a speech to get votes to be voted Valedictorian, which means it's 2-3 months before graduation...
Expelled? Maybe not. But I would've given him a suspension of some sort for sure for pulling a stunt like that.
I am curious as to how nice of a rack that one particular teacher has though...
