Survivors, the days of walking from Frosty Pines to Clearview are about to get a little less exhausting.
December 11, 2013 we will be releasing vehicles into the PTE Servers. We are asking everyone that can jump in and help us out in testing vehicle functionality.
We will have the following three vehicles for testing available on the Public Test Environment
(PTE) Servers ONLY:- Buggy - Occupancy of 3 riders
- Striker - Occupancy of 3 riders
- Zombie Killer - Occupancy of 2 riders
**** Striker occupancy changed to 3 for now. Will return to 9 when functioning as intended. For now the limit will be 3 until this fix is in place.
- Enter: Hold E to get in the vehicle as passenger\driver.
- Controls: WADS setup just like normal movement controls.
- Upkeep\Repair: Repair kits can be used to fix vehicle damage. Once it starts smoking, you will want to get that checked out. Flames, well we don't have to tell you that fire is a bad thing when dealing with cars. You will have little time left from this point to survive behind the wheel. Once flames start showing you will need to repair it ASAP!
(Regular kits will provide 33% health and premium kits will provide 66% health regeneration) - Upkeep\Fuel: Gas canisters will spawn in the world for vehicle refueling. Stock up! You don't want to be caught "dead" without it!
- Availability: Vehicles will be spawned in cities with random health. Once fully destroyed, they will respawn in another location.
- Damage: Vehicles are not invincible and neither are survivors when inside them. Both will take damage from bullets\attacks but only the vehicle takes fall damage.
- Degradation: Vehicles will degrade over time. After 30 minutes of inactivity from initial entry, vehicle will start to lose health until re-entered or destroyed.
- Headlights: Pressing F while in the vehicle will enable headlights for night driving

In addition to the vehicles, as if you really needed more than just a cool way to travel, we will be adding the following content:- Missions: Updated missions will be available and all in progress missions will be removed
- Reduced number of Veteran servers from 15 to 7.
(Personal Lockers\Items will be returned to original owner of the locker) - Official servers will now have a maximum capacity of 200 players per server.
- Airport fence exploit has been fixed. Previously had no collision.
- Bridge glitch in Boulder City has been fixed. Players will no longer fall through the map.
- Changed player list in-game to support 100+ players
- Changed Personal Lockers to accept 16 letters\numbers, instead of 4 pin code.
(Enter your old pin code to access your old locker inventory) - Post Office & Police Station in Smallville have been fixed - they previously had road clipping through the floor.
- Helicopter crash on Campos 5 story loot adjustments have been made.
- Added loot to the roadblock east of Castle Pine safe settlement.
- Fixed floating objects and loot inside tents\5 story in Whitestone.
- Removed the abundance of screamers and sprinters in Clearview.
- Fixed trees in the middle of the road near fallsdale collections
- Adjusted Airport loot.
- Adjusted Norad loot following sprinting zombie updates and AI changes
- Adjusted loot in 5 story building in Whitestone
- Adjusted loot in 5 story building in Clearview
- Adjusted loot in 5 story building in Trailer Park
- Adjusted loot in Boulder City.
- Fixed collision in West boulder Meteorological station water tower.
- Added repair bench to the top of Ridgeway Airport tower
- Added repair bench to Frosty Pines garage
- Added repair bench to Clearview garage
- Spawns around Delta and Mountain Crest have been moved further into the forest to prevent spawn camping
