I tried to join the TD pub yesterday and found out that i was banned for your servers. hmmm why? cause i got banned from ESEA for 3 days? and no im not a hacker people it was a video card setting. what happened was when i reformatted my computer i was having sound problems and i let a friend take over my computer to fix this issue, he also went into my video card settings and changed some things to make graphics better because they were all default. one of the settings he changed was "ambient occlusion". when playing css with no esea client running this settings does not affect anything but make your games look better. but seeing as how esea makes you change your mat_dxlevel to 81 which makes your game darker, this setting makes it so you can somewhat see through smoke. once i found this out it was to late to do anything because im sure there client found it. this could of happened to anybody, fyi. i have changed the setting back to default. because i also do not like hackers. if anybody is still wondering on this matter, please turn on the setting yourself and join a server and see that it does nothing to give you an advantage in this game, unless you dx level is changed.

could have happened to anybody. doesn't deserve a ban imo. evol doesn't even know the difference between a SSD and HDD. sigh...

The moment he realized this, he told me to join up with him so he could test it out on a TD server. It didn't work so he thought it was a bug. He went back to ESEA client and lo and behold, due to the mat_dxlevel 81 he could kind of see through smoke when scoped. He still was unsure of the setting and I assume until he got that email from esea, he didn't know which graphic setting to change. I believe it was an honest mistake and he is a pretty good member.
Ban should be revoked imo.
