Yes, how is that an excuse. They know what the job is when they take it. No pity for these overpaid scumbags.
No one deserves to be shit on for any reason during their job.

some ttc staff are real assholes, i remember one time i was out in fuckin scarborough town centre, i paid my last $2 for a student fare to get home, i didint have a student id, even though i was a student at the time... the ttc employee wasted like 5 mins of my time at the booth telling me tough shit im stranded. then finally let me go through

That's happened to me before (and it felt shitty), but they're actually in the right. At least he did let you go through eventually, he was probably hoping to scaring you into carrying an id.

I've seen TTC drivers have to put up with a lot of shit, and although from what I've read they're paid pretty damn well, a lack of love for the job probably leads to this kind of thing..

I work for the TTC for 29 years. The students tried every trick in the book, such as showing a transfer and covering the date with their hand, peeling the ticket in half, throwing a dime into the fare box instead of the token, trying to get on at the back of the bus when the doors are open and using outdated metropass etc... Well I got news for you, 85% of the drivers don't care, the other 15% is management ball licking mama boys and apparently you met one of the ball licking mama boys, however most of the drivers are down to earth and will help you when you require help every single time. I continue to help people as much as I can. That's my opinion. :)

I had a bitch that made me paid 2 students tickets cause I didnt show her my student card when I drop the ticket in. People like that deserve to get assaulted and harass.

Unfortunately the 15% ball licking management boys keeps running into you, when I was driving the night bus, I couldn't care less if you drank beer smoke pot and whenever.. Maybe one these days you will run into a driver like me.
