The server is dying...

We need new maps. The last week or so the server has been struggling to stay above 20 players. Currently its 0/31 on D2. I think that adding a handful of new maps to the rotation will help. I cant think of anything else that could be causing the lack of players other than the constant stacking, but that is unavoidable.

Hmmm, i guess i have been playing at the wrong times. My experience lately is that i will join when its about 30 players. Then after the map switches it hovers around 10v10 and will only go up if we vote in D2.

Take out the 1 copy of de_alexandra to free up a slot.

During the day its hard to keep players on the server, so we usually RTV to get to Dust2

the server is always 90% full between 4pm - 12am =/ if you play in the morning or late night, then the server dries up, but even at the peak hours if the map is bad assault, egon, office, then the server is empty

You missed his point by a mile. The point is that the older one is better, however it IS impossible to go back because everything else has moved on to it.

The reason the server is "dying" is there might be a problem for Rogers customers and the routing Rogers is using. My routing for example takes me to Los Angeles, butt-fuck nowhere USA, Germany, etc... My regular ping of 5 is now 50-60+

Anyone with Rogers seeing similar issues?

traceroute says its going through gw-spdnetwork.torontointernetxchange.net
ping spikes to 30 after that.
