Tf2 Weapons

With the recent buffs the short circuit is now useable. (Gee thanks Valve) The question remains what is the worst weapon in the game (or what weapon is used the least.) What do you guys and gals think?

For the future, stuff explicitly about TF2 should probably go in the TF2 section.

Shortstop is rarely played, could use a buff.

There's still a lot of really sucky items though:

Phlog
Wrap Assassin
Concheror
Righteous Bison
Backburner (let's start the arguments)
Phlog
Huo-Long Heater
Tomislav
Eviction Notice
Vaccinator
Machina (more arguments)
Cleaner's Carbine
Phlog
Sydney Sleeper

Worst weapon is probably the Overdose for medic. 10% damage penalty for a midget boost that you need the wep out to use. I HAVE SEEN NO ONE USING IT.

Some comp Medics use it. Speaking as a Medic main (with far less experience and skill than I perceive), the majority of the time a Medic uses his/her syringe gun is when they're retreating and running away. Killing pursuers is easier with corners and the Ubersaw (if there's such corners, you're likely dead anyway), and the speed boost helps you run faster. 10% less damage is a very minimal penalty since the gun is rarely used for damage, and it's only 10%. You can get as high as a 9% speed boost, which also makes dodging incoming rockets and stickies easier.

I think Shade, Medic for the (historically) best NA team, used/uses it too. If it weren't for the Crossbow, I'd bet more comp players would use the Overdose. The reason you've seen no one use it is because the all the advantages I outlined only apply to comp play; in pubs, those small boosts don't matter. It's certainly not one of the better weapons out there, but I certainly wouldn't consider it a bad weapon (*cought cough* PHLOG *cough cough*).

Now I kinda want to see a comp phlog match. Anyways, you're right in the fact that the phlog is a terrible wep... from a more experienced perspective. However the appeal of the phlog is very commonly connected eith a new player; to someone like that airblasting/damage is null as compared to the possibility of crits and the general "cool look" of the wep.

The Carbine is also, in my opinion, a wep in need of buff. However, I believe the Backup and Concheror's newest buffs have made them viable.

One of the weapons most needed for a buff is the Vitasaw. I like it's save uber thing, but the best, most professional choice is ubersaw, not enough people think about other medic melees.

In my opinion:
Least used = Dalokohs Bar (dafuq?)
Most used = Kritzkrieg
Least OP = Sandman (not unless you have good aim)
Most OP = Mini Sentry (really good on #2 if you know where to put them) or Black Box (dat 15 health regain per hit)

Phlog = Burn it.
Conch = Meh.
Righteous Bison = Love it.
Backburner = Burn it.
Scorch Shot = Meh.
Phlog = Burn the ashes.
Huo-Long = Why was this weapon created?
Tomislav = Meh.
Eviction Notice = Meh.
Vaccinator = Hate it.
Machina = Bodyshotters :why:
Cleaner's Carbine = Meh.
Enforcer = Not bad.
Phlog = FUCK YOU, VALVE.
I'd also give a hearty FUCK YOU to Valve for the Sydney Sleeper.

Forgot the Sleeper.

Enforcer was great before it got nerfed. Only reason I put it in the list was because The Ambassador is another pistol option which now far out-classes the Enforcer.

I see so many people using Diamondbacks/Amby's now I think it outnumbers the number of spies in the game.

Yeah, I used to use the Enforcer a lot. Then I tried out the Amby and found I was more consistent with it.

The Sleeper is just Anti-Sniper. The point of SNIPING is to get headshots. Granted, no one is perfect. I get roughly 7 headshots for every 10 shots. It's decent, but I actually try. The Machina is just as bad. Sure, you CAN get headshots with it, but it pumps out so much damage that you don't really need to. Only time I purposely bodyshot is to annoy the person who was just doing it to me.

The Ambassador is certainly a very powerful weapon, but it doesn't need nerfing because it requires skill to use (well), and it balances the Spy - Something players forget too often is that the Spy can help at a distance. Without any long-range strength he's much weaker in terms of class balance.

Degreaser + Axtinguisher combo is OP, doubly so with flare. Only problem is other pyros. :choke:
