I was wondering how long the resize effects on the trade servers last for.
It says 5 days but a friend of mine said they last forever.

Some are timed and some aren't.... Fairly certain it even says "temp effects" or something along those lines... Haven't been on in a week

When buying a specific one it says at the top:

It's an item that costs nothing that's just there to tell you the expire time - they're a temporary replacement for the category descriptions, since those aren't working.
