I love Skial. I can never decide between it or Lotus Clan. But I'd play on a Darkly pub.
skial seems better
maintained (Less managed) than LotusClan's
presence (Micromanaged).
Their top poster on their TF2 is Awptimus Prime, who only spams his terrible, egotistic Youtube videos, followed by ProLoser, followed by Barbaro, followed by Mana. The rest, which dwarfs everyone with the exception of Awptimus, is one-time posters who bail after leaving a question, which is found in a subsection.
Over on skial, you have multiple users posting with both regulars and newbies coming and going, more often than not. Top poster is mittens, followed by Ruelel, followed by the masses.
Both have nearly a 100 servers, although I believe LotusClan has more online ones than skial...yet, skial's Server Tracker, only Tracks servers which are online. There might be more that aren't down for maitianice. LotusClan, has both Online and Offline listed.
skial has more players currently playing than LotusClan, with almost all servers seeing activity as some of LC's sit empty for days even.
skial doesn't have a Clan attached to it, where Lotus does. This can result in closure from the public, due to having their 'privates' private.
I've played on both communities before, but I prefer skial due to the quality of the server being overall higher than Lotus. Obviously, if DARKLY ever got pubs, I'd play on them but...sometimes, I wonder if this happens in empty servers.
