yeah, but if you look at it, Russia wouldn't be THAT much better even if they still had the nations that gained independency after the breakup of the USSR.

They only teams that are somewhat decent are Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Latvia. And these teams don't have any real superstars... although one could argue that the reason they don't have good players is because of the seperation from Russia (USSR)

I think once KHL gets in motion, Europe will start to pump out a greater level of talent, then we can start to avoid the whole europe-nhl draft-back to europe for olympcs thing.

Well, I think thats because your russian had a bum knee, and you russians like your saucer passes... I think what really happened was they shut down OV, and I think the entire offense was co-ordinated against him. I think he only had like 3 shots on goal the entire game?
