There's a free app called textplus that allows you to create a group/community to text to.

Just throwing it out there. Whaddya think?

Leroy's functional requirements for a phone:

1. Can it accept incoming calls?
2. Does it have the necessary facilities for making outgoing calls?
3. Does the battery last longer than a day with nominal use?
4. Can it send/receive texts?


Admittedly, I like the BBM feature on blackberry...

App: "TextPlus" = absolutely free
You have to setup an account but it's so simple, it doesn't even require you to open up safari, it does it right on the app.
Community: TorontoDarkly (no space. i know, gay.)

I need a few test bunnies since I haven't actually ever used this before...
