This is a warning to anyone wanting to buy farmed stranges, the kills are now reset when gift wrapped.
Not sure when this was put into play, but I just went to /r/tf2trade to sell my unusual and saw this:

Like the others, I don't understand the appeal of getting strange weapons that are already leveled up. It's like plagiarism, it's taking credit for what other people do.
