The server used to have a much better auto-balance feature. Most the times teams are stacked like crazy, and not only that, but new players join the game, see one side winning and stack even more so that the numbers on teams are uneven. The worst is the top players always selecting the side they know the map favors and stacking teams that way. No offense intended to anyone in particular, but the term rank whores comes to mind!


I seriously believe something should be done about that. It ruins the fun when you're trying to play CS and face a team where the top 5 players are smoking the opposing team on their own. It gets pretty frustrating when you auto select every map and you're mostly on the team being smoked. Maybe forcing people to choose auto select for teams would help make things more even. Or perhaps having the teams adjusted after a few rounds so top players are spread out instead of being all on one team. Losing 9-10 rounds back to back means there is an issue with team balancing.

Nothing more than my opinion for whatever it's worth!

a lot of the time when people complain about teams its because they're on terrorist and not working together at all. It happens a lot on Nuke and Chateau because no one leads the team with a good rush. that said yeah I don't know what happened to the auto balance it kinda worked.

We've gone through a number of different auto-balance programs, there are always people who are gonna be unhappy with it one way or another
 
Yah I figured as much Turbotaco... it's hard to find a good balance when thats concerned. Figured I'd put it out there nothing more.

Archduke, it was on multiple maps and sometimes as both sides I played on the map. I was just mentioning to see if I was the only one to notice it. Sometimes you end up on the stacked team, and I do feel bad for the opposing team when that happens. It's frustrating when you're the team getting raped though :o

I know exactly what you are talking about Abdul. I see it all the time. 5 top ppl on the other team have highest scores on the server. We all see the 10-0 happen every now and then when no admin is on and/or when nobody does anything to balance stacked teams.

In some cases, it's also like archduke said.

Anyways, i don't think our tb balances the team based on scores, but rather on team size (prop can correct me if i'm wrong). It would be nice to have a tb that considers KPD ratio. That way switch top player of stacked team with one of the worse of the other team.

well rule #6 says no-team stacking so I guess an admin should be doing their job and moving players if on or give a warning and ban for x amnt of time for repeat offenders after warning? idk

= I'm the only motherfucker that switches people. I honestly haven't seen ONE admin make ONE switch (other players, not themselves) in months.

Anyone notice when I join I shift people around like it's fuckin Tetris, then all of a sudden it's 5-5 instead of 8-0?

- start using it before the list gets revised. You have the pleasure of helping run the best gaming community in Canada. Get on it! :D

I've actually been on servers where you can't pick your team. You have to choose auto-select.
 
The whole balance thing can be a pain in the ass. I mean I did not start playing CS again because of CS or for rank. Honestly, the TD community even way back was a lot of fun. I am enjoying my time on the server and I only brought this up to see if it's something that was addressed or not.

It's a pain in the @$$, but one I know I can live with. Guess it's just frustrating at times hehe.

HOWEVER, I know your job sitcho and you help tons idling on TF2, so I ain't hating...

BUT, admit it - we got lots of useless admins man...

and 47, yes, when you're on, you might switch. My point is - not many admins play anymore, and when they do, they don't do shit. I completely understand (this isn't directed @ you 47, I'm speaking generally here) if you don't get to play a lot, and when you do, you just want to play, not work. However, I think if it's at that point, you might consider taking the high road (as Pyro once did) and pass the torch.

I auto every time. but even with that you have people switching teams instantly or after a couple rounds when things get shitty they stack. it's ultimately up to the admins to do work.and when there's no admins then just deal or quit?
