i say nay, if curling is a sport where you keep quiet while a player makes a move, you keep quiet.

its like Billiards or Tennis, you cheer when someone scores, not during the actual play.

alot of players seemed to have been pissed off at this.

I found it tacky. I understand wanting your country to win as many events as possible, but this is akin to parent's getting in fist fights at their kid's little league games.

yeah, agreed, 100%. Although the chinese womens beat us with a surgical game, the crowd was very respectful of the chinese skill.

There is olympic competition where its alright to boo, and thats hockey. It was awesome when the canadian fans boo'd the americans when they came on the ice, haha

Yeah I love watching curling as well. I'll admit it...

I usually just watch the big events though, like the Brier and Scott Tournament of Hearts, Olympics, World Championships, etc...

It's definately a sport... and the strategy is very complex, it's like chess on ice...

anything can be defined as a sport.... golf and curling absolutely, there is no judging of any sort... figure skating and such is more of a competition than sport :P
