Rogers Increasing 911 Fee

Effective April 12, 2010.

If I am not mistaken, i think i read somewhere that technically you can argue this is a breach of contract and cancel it.

Some may find this useful as a way to somehow score a better plan/deal or just change companies altogether.

these guys have some pretty sweet deals going on for sure for the peeps who live in their coverage area.

i think bell might be worse then rogers, if the csr's are nice, they are incompetent and can't help you and if they can they are dicks and will not. all this and they charge a fucking arm and a leg. i would love to see both rogers and bell go out of business, fucking hate them.

Telus is just as brutal

i had a $26 outstanding balance that was 8 days overdue... they disconnected my phone for the day (which costs roughly $3.50 /day due to the plan im on) when i called them to have it reconnected the following day they made me pay $50 to have it reconnected WHICH THEY DIDNT EVEN DO... after going about 10 hrs without receiving txts or calls i began to wonder if they had even restored my account. They didnt, and I had to call back (during 'operational hours' i might add) sit on hold for 35 mins to have them do something they already charged me to do.

Rogers is a fucking joke. I know this is a cell phone thread, but for internet they're my only option, and they just raised the overage fee limit from $30 to $50 (which I hit every month). I I'm 4.7km from Bell DSL CO so I can't use Bell or it's resellers and there is no Cable reseller in London.

The regional phone company here is a PITA. One of the few freestanding Baby Bells left. They crossed our line with someone else's where you could hear them talking and they could hear you talking. Took over a month to sort out.

Not necessarily true. Some people are away from home a lot so they disconnect their home line altogether and rely on their cellular device.

I've been with Virgin mobile for the past few years ... they have the best prices for sure and there customer service is just as good!
