Rival to CS found?

Whatever happened to Gooseman's Tactical Intervention? It looked like shit, maybe he killed himself.

Took one look at the game, it's not counter strike. It's not anything close.
CS is a very simple, twitch reflex, bare bones shooter - as it should be.
This game, along with games like battlefield and call of duty, water down the shooting experience to introduce a shit load of 'not shooter' mechanics. If you dont quite understand what I mean, things like kill streaks, vehicles, destructible buildinds, you name it.
Even aiming down the sights as opposed to the hip-only shooting in counterstrike is adding more filth to the already perfected game play of CS.
When it comes to pure competitive FPS without any bullshit, there is no substitute for CS.

just did some reading on the site. basicly this dosnt do anything a cod or battlefield game hasnt done before. its a FPS with a perk system some sort of points and your able to equip gadgets... its realy rather sad when indi developers start making the same generic uninspired shooters as mainstream companys

Looks pretty cool. Def more destructible than Bc2, they say you can cut holes in the floors and make peep holes in a brick wall? Maybe fake but adds cool dynamic.

I never suggested that I don't like other FPS games. Im simply stating that this breach game is not CS, and definitely not it's successor, as the OP stated it could be.
That's all. And Source > 1.6. Source is much smoother and easier on the eye. Though finicky at times with shady reg, otherwise superior over 1.6.

until twitch gameplay like the quake and counter strike era resurfaces properly, there will never be a proper successor to CS, so if thats the revolution you are looking for, it will be some time as the trend these days is fancy graphics and explosions with game breaking gimmicks like 'kill streaks'.
