Not saying it's a consequence of it being a bad product...just the markets are obsessed with Apple and Google and that RIM is no longer considered sexy by the street. I know as a % of the smartphone market they continue to dominate, primarily of their ability to securely communicate with business networks (which I'm sure will be a boon for this product). I also appreciate the fact that you're a company man.

That said I have two blackberries. I fucking hate them...glitchy as hell regardless of the service provider (had them on Cingular, AT&T, Cincinnati-Bell, and Sprint-Nextel). I've gone through at least 4 handsets in the past 2 years.

but the playbook will seriously blow the ipad out of the water..way faster, full 1080p, same old blackberry security, enterprise ready..but the only thing is..by the time this actually gets out, who knows what samsung,google,apple,or any major company will do to overshadow it..i personally would have liked to see a picoprojector embedded..i think taht would seal the deal for business appeal.

this already exists.
theres a pen on the market where u write on any surface, and it saves the penstrokes on the pen. you can then upload to ur pc and archive ur notes..its pretty badass.

Computer - can do presentations, but has short battery life, takes time to load etc. etc.

iPad - can do presentations, has 16+ hours battery life, takes no time to load etc. etc.

Point in case - some people DO benefit from shit like this. It's not really meant for people like us (us, meaning NOT having to use it in a specific, beneficial way). For those of us who still buy it, we buy it for the same reason we buy rims, cool phones, nice laptops, bigger, flatter tv's with better definition, nicer shoes/clothes, tint our windows, upgrade our kitchens with granite instead of wood etc. = because we can (for those that can, anyway).

It's good to have more available, nobody's asking you to buy it to fit in
