Whats the max RAM i can actually utilize with Windows 7 64 bit???

if you have the "ultimate" or whatever "most professional" version
then you can run up to 128 gigabytes of ram
the "home" versions i think limit you to 16 or even 8

hahah ya youre telling me... a friend of mine is selling off his servers and offered me one of his premium mother boards and 16 gigs of corsair ram... 140 bucks!

and along that note anyone know where i can order a couple of good monitors... i lost one to a fuckin power surge last night!
edit---Intel S5000XVNSASR..... apparently one of the RAM stixs are jammed... it is still fully connected but won't come out unless you trash the motherboard... hopefully she works.... muhahaha

hahah... well i wanted to setup a quick access database... I'm still gunna have my reg computer but my brother is gunna try ta help me setup so that i can blow it all away and still access my crap loads of data quickly...

Fork is 100% Right. Microsoft limits it's versions of Windows (64-bit or not) by the following:
8Gb = Win 7 Home Premium / Vista Home Basic
16Gb = Win 7 Pro / Vista Home Premium
128Gb = Win 7 Ultimate / Vista Ultimate
In any case, as long as it's 64-bit, you can enjoy UP TO those maximums.
