But what is the point of having him is a ghost if he's doing the exact same thing as when he was "alive"? :P It's kind of a giant "fuck you" to the audience to kill him off, then bring him back as a ghost just to try and appease the angry hordes.

Then again, I'd like to see what method they use to bring him back that ISN'T a giant "fuck you"...

And like I said, they wrote those episodes in October, and since then obviously something changed...

No, what I meant was that he won't stay dead. They did the same thing with James Woods in his second appearance. At the end of that episode, he is shown getting locked in a box in some storage facility. Few seasons later, he just pops up again. No explanation or anything.

And the point I made with the article still stands:
The announcement about a character being killed off came from Comic-Con, which was in July. That means the episode had already been written.
The article I linked to was written October 29, 2013, 3 months after Comic-Con. And it references an episode with Brian that has not aired yet.

See what I mean?
