You are so wrong it's not even funny. The complete opposite is true.
You are lucky to have context. If you shorten words then the total amount of words has to go down. The less words a language has the lower its ability is to express complex ideas. This is a fact.
I hear it daily, particularly in class, people chatting. They will say a string of words but the sentence as a whole lacks any content.
You are right, it makes sense to THEM because of context, like you know like that guy that did that thing with the girl in the pink top? But to anyone outside of this "context" all they hear is gibberish. What happens when this person has to explain themselves to someone that is not in the loop? They will literally be at a loss for words.
So no, its NOT a good idea for our language to be cut down, in fact everyone should try really hard to maintain whatever is currently left.
