Prisoners Freedom

Prisoners have the freedom to play baseball, tennis, weight training, smoke cigarettes, sex with girlfriends or boyfriends, free education and a paycheque to boot. My question is: Should inmates at prison institutions have all the amenities and freedom of a country club or should we put them on an island to rot?

people are getting 2nd degree murder here can expect to get out in less then 10 years, wtf kind of justice is that.

straight up, you commit a crime you become cheap slave labor and earn your keep or you get put in some human experimentation program to find cures for cancer and such.

to add, if your stupid enough to commit a crime with a justice system like that, you deserve what you get...

better yet just make them into laborers, not as slaves. for example: place the prisoners into work like cleaning highway, cleaning the airport's freeways, and so on. jobs that is unwanted by many but needed. thats free labor for the state. but you can get them to do work for a private company. then the private company can pay the state. and of course the higher the offense it is the risker job they get, like jobs that can harm the body. and if the prisoners are found to be not guilty they get money they worked for. simple eh?

for get the constitutions. if the prisoners takes a dump on other ppl's rights, they are pretty much saying "I hear by forfeit my rights so that i can fuck with your rights"

Depends on the crime, if it was something minor then I believe they should be given something to occupy their time behind bars (whether it be books, basketball, weights, etc). But if it was 1st degree murder / rape / pedophilia / etc, they should not get shit. In fact they should be given the chair.

Haha, forget it guys. This is the way our societies work. The middle class works its ass off to live stress filled lives, scraping pennies to attempt to have nice things so that people who say "fuck your laws, rights and ideals (ie working)" can profit. We had an "inspirational" speaker in high school who went to jail for some crime (don't remember what) for like 10 years. He came out of jail with 3 degrees and zero debt. wtf!? Fuck me for living a decent life and working for what I want. Now I have $25k+ (and growing) in school loans.

if u dont want them out in the open put them in the Silence Prisons. Back when Penn was just a state of the USA they built one. their cell had only a small slit for light. everytime they made noise they placed a helmet with blades stuffed into their mouth so they cant move their tongues. Every single one of them went crazy due to lack of interaction with people. atleast they wont be sane enough to do insane stuff to ppl again.
