Xtreme Cybergames is the exact company I was looking at when all this started. They DO use Peer1. For the trial, make sure they put the DOOR FIX in for the 100tick run. Everyone hates slow fucking doors. And although I know next to nothing about server OS, I often hear people say Linux owns Windows for gaming purposes. Anyone know why? Should we be worried about that?
In any case if we have a Peer1 server and if it ISNT run by a retard (*cough*), then this is perfect for TD.

Linux uses less system resources, meaning faster performanec of programs than otherwise on identical systems.

the current server is linux and none of that applies to it... lags like hell, crashes daily... I'd say we can trust whatever they're supplying. It seems like they know what they're doing.
