Absolutely not, no. I don't think the government said, "Hey, I need a helo to take out those people." So you're right, in that sense. I just think the government covered it up and didn't punish anyone, and people think that's wrong. Personally, if it was my country's army that fucked up, I would want my government not to say anything, either.
It's a sad reality, but fuck it..

He exposed a bad decision made to protect troops. Someone in power said hey those dudes are a threat kill them so the soldiers in the helo said yes sir. By doing so he did not expose some sort of corrupt process all he did was give ammunition to some propaganda slinger. The idea of this dude being a hero or having any sort of a pardon is ridiculous, no president would dare touch that shit, republican democrat or independent.

Uh, watch the video. The pilot/gunner (whoever it was, communicating back to "base", from the chopper) said we have ___ people, looks like they're holding AK's. They kept begging for permission, and it was eventually granted. To me, the video indicated the "base", or command or what have you, was going based off of what they were told, and eventually gave the OK to fire. Not the "base's" fault, IMO.

Yes it is ignorant, but it's far from the truth. There are innocent children, who died in that video. There are innocent people who have nothing to do with terrorism who have died at the Hands of your Army. I am sorry you have lost friends and/or family, anyone who signed up for the US forces knew what they signed up for. I am fairly certain these two kids didn't sign up for being killed, neither did any of the innocent people who very clearly didn't have guns/rocket launchers at all.

There is/was no plan to take over the land and declare it USA territory.
In fact the whole reason you invaded Iraq in the first place, was to stop a dictator from killing innocent citizens. I believe Fork already stated something very close to this point.
You invaded Iraq to kill a BigBad Evil Dooer, occupied it, setup a complacent government, take what ever natural resources you want, and will kill anyone who doesn't like it.
