should be a regular map in the rotation but i dont think removing d2 from the regular rotation is really a smart choice

D2 night is the same exact map as D2, just with different skybox and lighting tone. Why the fuck would we want to play twice as much d2. We already play D2 every 3 or 4 maps.

I think we should replace de_dust2 with de_dust2_night for a week or so and see if there is a drop in players (especially during off peak times).

^i can tell you, that last night, sunday, between 1 and 2 am (steve set it first time, then was voted in again, so we played it for 40 minutes) and we had new people coming in consistently. 24-28 people, at that time of night on sunday is pretty nice. I don't think people are being deterred from the whole night thing. whole bunch of names i didn't recognize as being regulars joined and played for the entire round. im not sure if they stayed, because i left after the second time around, but it seems people enjoy the night version just as much.

I don't see the point of all this custom map forcing because the server had a good groove going with the constant season/nightfever/d2/etc. chateau, contra and inferno have been getting more play when weeks ago it was more biased toward other maps. Scud is pretty random and even that has been getting play.

It's confusing to just get thrown into a bunch of maps that have never even been played on the server. Why can't the update be one map at a time? If it's on the nominations menu then sooner or later it will get voted more often as the regulars bore of the neverending same nominations.

if we were to do one map at a time like we have been people RTV and act like a$ses. People dont give maps they dont know a chance to be learned they rage because they are getting lost. There have been alot of good maps just tossed to the side because people refuse to learn maps and are stuck on the STOCK maps.

I use to play on a server that only allowed the stock maps to be played a total of 5 times a day each. That server now stays at a fairly constist 64 players on majority of the maps that get thrown to the side else where. I had a falling out with them a few years back and no longer play there

We(A large amount of TD members/admins) all had an epiphany at the same time and realized the reason we rage quit and don't play more than a map or two max is because we are sick of the same maps over, and over, and over.

haha nope. They were trying to do some stupid shit that i did not agree with and got real drunk a few nights in a row lol. Im not banned there just choose not to play there anymore. :-)
