PC gaming accessories?

Do you guys think fancy keyboards/mics/monitors are necessary to be good/enjoy the game more? And if so, could I get some recommendations for some of the ones you guys use?

You have to try them out, especially the mice and keyboard as they come in many kinds. I prefer clean and simple stuff, because extra features like back-lit keyboards or 10 buttons on my mice are distracting to me.

doesn't have to be "fancy" but quality makes a big difference.
Jumping from a 22" widscreen to a 32" with 1900x res made a huge difference in enjoyment
same with the 5.1 headset I got yesterday, I don't know how I lived with out it.
stuff like keyboard and mouse I find less important than advertised. just buy for comfort

im into audio, so i splurged a bit to get the AT2020 USB for my mic. but other than that, i think keyboards with banks and banks of macro keys and LCD screens are kinda gimmicky. maybe cuz i dont play MMOs.. idk.

mech board, g500 and a decent mouse pad is all i need hahaha
