PayPal question

Here's my situation:
- have it linked to chequing account, no credit card

Question: If you have a $0 balance in paypal, but have money in your chequing account, can you still make a payment via PayPal, and it will then later automatically withdraw that amount from your chequing account?

Or, do you still have to transfer to PayPal first, THEN make the payment/purchase?

Hey buckshot, you must transfer the money to paypal first then make the payment.Transferring money from your account will take seven days. I don't use credit cards as well. If you need money right away, send money requests to a friend or parent who has a credit card. Let them pay you for whatever, repay your friend or parents when you get the money from your bank account.

i pay for alot of stuff like ebay and my donations through pay pal and i never trasfer money i takes it directly out of my account. if you do a transfer and then try to pay it will still take it out of your account unless you wait for the money to clear into pay pal

if you have direct withdrawl setup then you dont have to trancfer money if not then you do

Ok, ill check for any direct withdrawl settings. This is for donating to TD, I'm tired of not contributing, but I never seem to remember to transfer in time

transfering money to your paypal is stupid and unneccisary. if its sets up through your checking all you have to do if you buy something or donate is just click the use pay pal thing pay and log in or whatever and it will coe right out within a day or so that way.
