well its not the entire middle east that has a problem. But more along the lines of people taking land that wasnt thiers in the first place. but then again whos drawing lines. The biggest areas of trouble imo is in afghanistan and iraq. where as you said steve 911 was started by the US and only after 911 did the war on terror happen (its not a war on terrorism its a war for oil and capitalism) and iraq well thats just a war on oil both of which is fault of the US both training terrorists and giving weapons of mass destruction. weapons that are still problaby at area 51.

Yes, Buddhism derived from Hinduism, but with more emPHAses on the self, the id, the atmone.

The "atmone" is the ONE, the greatest consciousness in the Universe, but is a part of ALL things alive.

Sounds a lot like Christianity doesn't it? Christ (Jesus resurrected) is THE son of God, but he is in us, through the holy ghost and we are ALL the children of God. We are ONE with God through Christ. (Paul's New Testament teachings)

Judaism, Christianity, Muslim are all the same stuff. Buddhism looks very similar to Paul's New Testament teachings. Hinduism, with it's 12 gods, seems the most removed, but in the Old Testament (one of the minor prophets near the end of the old testaments) speaks of the 12 (TWELVE!) attributes of GOD. There is also the 12 tribes of Israel. Cowinkydink? Hmm me not think so.


We(mankind) are all on the road to enlightenment and knowledge.
Is there an atmone, a single super consciousness? Probably. We know how the Universe began from the first few seconds, but WHY it began is a question our scientist can't answer. Does that mean HAVE to have an atmone? Maybe yes, maybe no, my guess is probably.

Did the Old Testament happen, were there "gods" here on Earth (like Hinduism and the Big 3 and Egyptology speak of)? Probably. How could such details be made up and still be so universal (to most degrees) between so many cultures? Were they true Gods, most likely NOT. They were just Sons of God, humanoids, more advanced then us in technology and spirit.

We have a lot to learn my friends, a lot.

How did this happen, wtf happened?

I was 7 yrs old and saw a dog get hit by a car traveling at a velocity of at least 80 kph. The dog was thrown about 100 yards down the highway and rolled to a stop at the gravel shoulder of the road. I crossed the highway and sprinted to the dog. When I got there it was barely alive, making gurgling noises, with blood coming out of it's eyes, ears, nose and mouth. It was dieing, it was physics, it was the natural out come of F=ma. It had seconds to live.

I put my hand on it's chest and closed my eyes and said: " Dear God, I am nothing and you are ALL things and ALL powerful. It is nothing for you to heal this animal. It is nothing for you to take my life now. Show me you exists one way or the other, it is so little effort for you".

When I finished this prayer and lifted my hand from the dog's chest, that INSTANT, the dog jumped up, sneezed the blood from it's nose, shock it's head to clear it's ears, lick my face and trotted home. It lived a long and happy life.

One day my wife dropped me off at the airport in TO ( I was on a business trip to Chicago area). 30 mins later we are taxi-ing onto the runway for take off. I'm reading the stupid Air Canada magazine from the pouch in front of me, and suddenly a voice CRIES out in my HEAD: "Anne's in trouble!"
I close my eyes and in my head, scream: "ANNE, GET OUT OF THAT LANE NOW!!!"
I wait, holding my breath for a response, a feeling, it seems all good.

I land, get my rental car, shoot to the hotel, check in and race to my room. I drop my bags at the bed, pick up the phone and call home.

The wife picks up, and I breath a "sigh" of relief. We exchanged pleasantries about my flight and then I ask: "How was your drive home?&quotto Hamilton remember)

She says (no word of a lie): "Funny you ask, but it was weird. I heard a voice in my head say "get out of that lane NOW!", so I look over my shoulder, signal and change lanes. The instant I look forward again, the car in front of me in the other lane (the lane she just came from), throws a bike from it's roof rack! It goes threw the windshield of the car that was behind me! If I hadn't changed lanes, that would have been me!"

I say; " oh really? That was my voice you heard. I was told you were in trouble while we were taxiing onto the runway".

i think Buddhism is still the same, it teaches the same things as Christianity, and even has its own version of the second coming (Maitreya), if that is not enough similarities for you, Buddha could be the equivalent of Jesus.

you believe and society functions around that ideal (on a small scale obviously) because its what people have decided to tell others

Now, if you were never told it was an orange, and you were to make your own opinions about it, what would you call it?

Would you believe the god story if you were not told it from the moment you were born, to the time you die?

If churches didn't exist and the bible was just another book on the shelf at the local store, would you really live your life based on the contents therein?

I like to think not.

I believe god is a man made fantasy because humans desire order, god gives them that order, a book of rules, from birth till death, a government essentially, power over free mind, consequences written in text, and threats of punishment.

Rules to live by. Rules to die by. The best story ever written, and it runs peoples lives.
