I have the ASUS HD4870 512, aside from the fan crapping out on me (for which you can see my replacement vga cooler in a different thread) the card is amazing!

buckshot im useing a 4850 black edition now and i love it. its the best card ive ever had. i think this might be the first generation of cards ive liked ATI better. im looking forward to getting a third moniter and trying out the eyefinity

I don't know man.. I told Bucky.. I had the same issue. It's either heat or a bad piece of RAM. I took mine out, and left it out for a while (a month-ish?). When I put it back in, it worked like a charm (mind you I still cleaned it up). Once I knew it worked fine, I did the custom cooling setup, and I've been running crispy ever since.
