Either way we haven't even bought one yet.

We do have couple dozen CF-18's from 1983

Hawaii should be within NK range, they showed the potential range of some of the missiles they could have and california was on the outside edge of its range. I have no concerns here on the east coast but if I were in Cali I might be a little uneasy.

I don't like how we are just waiting for them to attack first, I know they might just be threats but we shouldn't let him get away with his threats like we are. Im not saying we should hit them first but we need to do something else to hurt him....... take away his NBA network? lol

Even if you're not in range of a missile, the fallout from a nuclear attack can still spread way pass where it hit. So if they do manage to hit Hawaii, the fallout can reach the coast if the wind happens to blow that way.

Attacking them is crazy! That's like poking a honey badger with stick, because they will use any excuse to fight. NK also has a ridiculously large army and nuclear weapons ready to go. From the looks of it, I wouldn't even spit on their lands.

Thats interesting, because that is the exact opposite of what military strategists and experts are saying.

Those derps only have 30 year old scuds from the 80's, I highly doubt they have the technology to mount a nuclear weapon on it.

They still have a large army. In 2010, they had forth largest army in the world and according to wiki, are now the largest.

Nobody really knows anything.
A senior defense official has said the Pentagon delayed an intercontinental ballistic missile test in order not to inflame already flash-point tensions with the rogue state.

They possibly-might-maybe be able to hit SK or Tokyo with a nuke, could be further depending on how small they have made the warhead.

the size of their army has nothing to do with this, they can't exactly leave their land and effect us. They do not have the ability to attach a nuclear warhead to their long range missiles, they failed launching a satellite a few months ago. Their 3 stage missiles fail while changing stages.

Btw size of army just means less civilian casualties.

This, not to mention. They have a combined army of around 9 million, including the 8 million inactive service members. These numbers are swollen so high because paramilitary sections like NK police and firemen are counted as military service in NK.

A large standing army would only help them in a war with a direct neighbor, and only if that direct neighbor has technology as poor as they do.

North Korea doesn't want to do this. The US just got out of two bad wars with insurgents that we had to weed out on the ground over a decade. This would be more the kind of old-school country-v.-country conflict that we wanted Iraq and Afghanistan to be and that the US still has a hard-on for. Turning N. Korea into a parking lot would be the kind of catharsis we need to relieve the pressure. Still, I'm concerned for South Korea.
