New voting plugin.

I have added a plugin called RealVotes to the server, seeing as I cannot find vtime anywhere.

Right now there is three voting options for regular members.
/vote day - switches time to day
/vote night - switches time to night
/vote rain - turns rain on/off

I have also added in two votes that regular members do not have access too.
/vote jail <player> - calls a server wide vote to put someone in jail
/vote mute <player> - calls a server wide vote to mute someone
These commands may be added in to one of the donation packages, but for fear of them being abused, they are currently only for OPs use.
If an OP calls up one of these two votes, everyone else on the server is able to vote on them.


If anyone has any issues with this plugin, then please report them here.
Also, if you feel that there is a better voting plugin out there to use, don't be afraid to share it.
I am more than willing to switch to a new one if it seems as if it would be better.

Also, if anyone has any ideas for new votes, feel free to suggest them.
As long as they aren't completely stupid like a vote to give someone diamond blocks.

You could have a /vote kick. Players would be able to decide if they want to kick someone off the server themselves. I would also make a /vote ban, but that would only be initiated by OPs.

Yeah a vote kick would be a good idea.
I will have to add it in another day though.

Also, we are no longer banning people.
LB and Brades feel that jailing someone and then muting them if they become a pest is the way forward.
They want to torture the hackers etc :')

I can see that. Do you guys do a forever jail for what would be a permanent ban? Do you permanently ban hackers instead of jailing them?

Well currently this map/server is fairly new.
On the old map we didn't have a jail set up at all, so it would just be a ban and then forget about them.

Right now we are just jailing people.
We have only had three people that needed jailing so far.
2 for being caught flying around.
1 for pissing LB off.

The first to get jailed for flying is having a hearing in a month or so to review his case.
I think this is because he actually shows an interest in the community and likes playing on our servers.
The other will probably leave the server and not even bother to appeal, knowing him.

Appeals are good. When I was a co-owner on a server, te actual owner was pretty much a giant 11 year old dick head. If anything happened, he would assume who did it and ban them. I would be the one who would unban them and interview them. As you could guess, I was the one who was appreciated on that server. I also did this for a short while which was pretty cool. I had set up a court room, where the person on trial would be in a jail cell and there would be a judge (admin), the jury (players), and a lawyer (player who supports the one on trial), who would attempt to defend the person in the jail cell. It was actually very cool. You should think about it. If you want, I could build a courtroom for you guys. I haven't played Minecraft for a while now but I still believe I have a decent sense in stile.

Updated.

Changed Rain, Day and Night votes to only need a majority vote.

Changed Mute to be a 10 minute mute, and opened for all users.

Added a /vote kick command.
Open for all users.
This needs 100% votes from all players.
It kicks the selected player with the message 'Voted for by the community'.
May change this to be a tempban of 10 minutes in the future.

Tested.
All seems to be working.

Glad to here you took my idea of vote kick! :P 100%, theres a problem with that. The target will always vote no. Im not kicking myself! Unless the target is excluded from the vote. If he is then ok. Not, then he diserves to be kicked for being plain stupid.

I think as long as the vote receives 75% it doesn't matter what he says.
That means that all people on the server apart from him need to vote :P

i would love to hop on and play on the minecraftserver but i "accidentaly" deleted my java and cant get it back. It is the C:\Program Files\java Shtoopid Shtoopid Shtoopid. I cant find a download for it anyware so im just gonna make my brother send me a copy of his.

No need, if you know where the minecraft launcher is, you can just open it and it will automatically download it.
Or, you can always download it from minecrafts actual website.

Just log in to your account and click 'download game'

Unless Java wasn't a mistype, and you didn't mean .jar...then sure...
Do what you need to do...haha
