you clearly just did a google search to prove your point? nVidia has great driver support, they can't really be held liable because of a user's incompetence/ignorance which is really the issue the majority of the time. The other issue is 64-bit Windows which is becoming the standard quicker than support for it is able to catch up. What the fuck are casual users doing with a 64-bit OS? They don't even know, it just came with their Dell/Gateway/Whatever piece of shit so they have to use it.

I got an HD 6990, it's great but overpriced...

Plus every time I get a new game I have to wait a few days for new drivers to fix lighting issues...

Damn Bro, you either need more weed, or less crack. Bleed Green Lately? :D

The specific driver glitch with the 560 is a well known problem that's been around for quite a while. I know of this problem because a buddy of mine went through hell because of it. So yea, in March i did a little research (oh no the google!) and found that thread, pulled it up from my bookmarks and posted it today. This is not to flame Nvidia, it's to keep a nice balance from 47's fanboy comments.

And like Tarin said his 6990 has issues, why is that? Because it's new (and fucking expensive) and as such the driver has to be fixed for every motherfuckinggame, but this issue isn't limited to just ATI, Nvidia has the same problems.

and for the record, if someone started bashing Nvidia, I would post shit about ATI.

Damn you fan boys take shit too seriously.

ive just had better experience with nvidia. ive had an ati before, way back in the day, was shit software. my current 5850 is great, ive just experienced some problems with dual screens. new drivers fixed that, but i still get random flickering on main monitor, but its very minor.

best way is to look at benchmarks, get fastest one u can afford, make is not important. :D

Anyone have any experience with USB video cards?

I'm looking to add a third screem, with my current video card supporting two monitors and the additional adapter connected to my TV.

i have a gtx460 great card cheap as hell, sli ready. great deal for the price

other chef:
if you have an open pci slot just buy an older v-card most have s-video. if your not look for HD, its the way to go you can get a gtx6200 for pci for like $30

agreed 47... my 6870 has been nothing but problems... drivers are fucking lousy....

I've had geforces forever and have never had issues before, this will probably be the last time I buy ATI...

HAH! SO YOU ADMIT TO GOOGLE USE! Well anyway, it's not about being a fanboy it's about ATI simply being inferior to nVidia.

from 675 to 950mHz, but I have a DCUII card so voltage control is unlimited. It ran like butter with enough juice, I still had enough of a ceiling to probably get to 1gHz but the VRM is air-cooled and gets super hot with a lot of juice so I didn't want to push it when 950 was fast enough.

I was really close to getting an AMD SLI board. An OC'd 1090T with two of these bad muthas would do hella GFLOPs

i had 2 5870's and loved them. but my mobo had slots too close together so top one fan never shut off and it was hella loud.
now i have a 6970, I forget what I paid but it rapes any game I have ever played on max.
Never had any driver issues with any of those cards and the only complaint I have with the ati drivers is that it takes too long to alt-tab from CS in full screen mode.
just sayin.
