i'd say it about friggin time...and i ask is it on the market yet? the answer is still no, and if the rumours are true then in true nvidia style it's gonna be a power hog...but then again if you want top notch performnce, this is what you've been waiting for...i'm pretty excited to see the real world numbers but i won't buy one...

I'm not getting one I doubt many will, it's just not enough of a preformance boost. Plus they are compairing it to the 5870 would have rather seen the 5970.

See, the thing is. They keep making these cards with amazing this and amazing that (when it's ... not, really). Where are the motherfucking games that have all this glitz and glam? I keep seeing games that are $60 and have the SAME graphical intensity as the last generation of games. Crysis seems to be the only game with "modern" (not modern anymore, fuck me) graphics.

Seeing as how my gpu handles this shit very well, the fuck am I gonna go spend another $500+ on a gpu that gets what, 5-10 more fps on average? LOL A joke...

Odd thing I've noticed:
I can play Mass Effect 2 with effects cranked, Bad Company 2 with effects set to "gamer", crysis warhead with effects cranked, smooth framerate, but holy hell I can't get above 100fps in CS, and sometimes when there isa lot of shit going on, it drops down to 40

Source engine is hugely CPU dependent, a $1000 vid card won't help you much with CSS. They should have stuck with Open GL and stayed away from DX.

I am running a system with my first nvidia card. I am never buying another again. I got Dragon Age Origins and it's having severe issues making the game unplayable. nvidia won't acknowledge the issue and has yet to fix it. The way it's meant to be played.. yah riiiigggggghht! GO ATI!

+1 Prop, css was amazing before DX ruined it ... fucking Microsoft piece of shit technology.

And ya, it's all cpu... start overclocking, and you'll see your fps trend average out (less fps drops, and any drop is much less severe).
