Now im just trying to justify whether or not to spend $1500ish on a computer.

About how long should this last?

At a very minimum, Shortbus, 5 years. The only thing you could ever imagine of upgrading after those years would be the graphics card - and that's only if some magical, graphics-insane games come out by then... chances are, they won't *glares at @DatGuy* :/ lol
