New AMD Processors! Opinions?

So when put into English...

If i want a gaming computer, I stick with intel??

If I want to be a Hyper nerd... and impress chicks with render times, AMD?

if you want to be a cheap hyper nerd then AMD. for everyone else, there's Xeon.

Apparently, AMD chips are focused on integrating performance with graphics cards. I haven't looked at the new chip architecture yet but it could just be that AMD is marketing (poorly) to a different crowd and merely looks substandard compared to Intel because it's not meant to be a consumer chip.
