My Life = EPIC FAIL

I got laid off Christmas eve as a Union Carpenter making $31/hr and haven't found a new job yet. In the missed of my friend losing his mom today, all hell broke lose and I knew lost my only other friends in a argument cause the wouldn't let me come be with him to support him cause I wasn't "family" They all are half Filipino with a significant other who isn't and he told me to come over and shit and they wouldn't let me blah blah blah.... So I know have 1 friend, no job, and am sitting here looking at my 9mm wondering what's easier? To end it all or sell it to try to make rent for at least one more month. Just last year I was taking home a salary of $60,000/year was buying new toys, big tvs, new laptops, going out all the time now this...

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has been here in their life? I know half of the TD guys are younger but there are older ones. I myself am 24

On the bright side I may just have to move to Canada and conform to gypsyism lol

who needs friends and a job? i mean really. you think your life is bad, but how many bums do you see on the street who somehow manage to exist even though their lives are clearly.... "sub-par." money isn't everything either, just get whatever job you can get and work for min. wage if you have to until you can find something good again. carpentry in almost all areas goes down during tough economic times. but what do you think will happen to that trade in a few years when the economy bounces back? shit happens man, just gotta truck on through.

next thing to remember too if your really thinking about ending ure life, is that it is a sign of depression or some other mental illness, and your most likely thinking a bit irrationally, so you should really go get some professional help.

too bad your not in Canada you can get form one'd and get a nice 3 month free vacation in the psych ward, no fuckin rent, free food, and chillin all day.

Not the end of the world buddy.

My oldest sister ran away from home when she was 15, been on her own every since. Shes dropped out of high school cause she was pregnant. Shes 25 now with 2 kids and works for TD Bank.

My other sister got kicked out of the house when she was 16 yrs old. She did some stupid shit but regrets it now. Shes 23. She still isnt as comfortable as she would like to be but shes not giving up.

What im gettin at is that if u dont give up and stay focused ull manage.

Oh and about the aerating job 47 is talking about, its legit. My buddy made 250$ last wednesday. Another 150$ on thursday. The 'owner' of the 'company' is a moron and u wouldnt believe he owns said business. Hell, since i basically quit my shitty part time job today im gonna try out the aerating job this weekend while i finish these last 2-3 months of school.

Don't worry about the friend thing, some families get all weird when it's all personal like a death in the family. Maybe your friends called it right and it's better that only family is there.

Your friend knows you care, leave it at that for now.

Get a job this summer doing decks and home repair, anything to make money. You can't wait around hoping your old job will call you back. Fuck them, put it behind you and start looking for another job. I know it's not going to be easy in this economic climate, but you won't find anything unless you're looking.

Being an &quotlder" person qualifies me to give you advice.

First off I hope you aren't serious about ending your life, if you are I suggest you go see your family doctor for help.

Secondly I have had my life fall apart 3 or 4 times over the years, from bad relationships to major financial problems to job loss etc. In those moments you might feel like it will never get better, trust me, it always does, and then it may get worse again at some point, but that my friend is simply life.

I just got laid off as a union electrician last week man. That's just the game we play. it's part of being in the union. Aside from EI I try to just ask around and put myself out there to do as many sidejobs as i can. dont just sit there and mope about, you have skills, so use them. people will pay good money for your work.

my buddy threw in the towel last month and hung himself. nobody really knows exactly why but in doing so he fucked alot of people over, especially his family. dont even think about that shit man things will get better.

Corey man, as everyone already said it really well, it's just life man... tough times are just that, "tough times", like hell every single one of us hasn't already been through one (to whatever degree of toughness).. it's just another hurdle.

I strongly suggest you put aside any peripheral issues you may have and build yourself first. You can't worry about others before you have yourself figured out. Once you, yourself, are stable (financially, emotionally) - only then are you truly capable of extending those thoughts and feelings properly to others.

Take care of yourself first, until you pick up and get stable, then the life surrounding you will straighten up
