I thought this game was going to be utter shit before it came out. I fucking hated the MP of MW1, and was anti-cod after that shit.
Somehow i found myself buying a hardcopy in a gamestop the other day.. i think its cause my girlfriend bought some game for her wii and something about she felt nerdy buying a game infront of me, so i picked up mw2 and said "ill buy this to make you feel better".
I went home expecting single player to be epic, and it was. I tried MP for the sake of trying it.
I really enjoy the MP in this game. The maps are less cluttered with better weapons and less grenade spam (almost none!) and shit is SO MUCH EASIER TO SEE! as opposed to before i couldnt pick an enemy out regardless what it was. The maps just had too much shit on them.
Oh and the weapons are fixed some, you cant kill anyone spraying from the hip like you could in the first one. With most guns at least.
+1 for MW2... i missed out on the bugs in the first few weeks, so all ive played is the tightened up gameplay.

I just sat down and played thru my roomates MW2 in one sitting. +1 on the story mode. It plays like a decent action movie, and the environments are gorgeous. I havnt played much online, but so far it seems like MW1 but better graphics.
I might buy this on steam. anyone here in TD play MW2 on steam?

Strange. Never seen a single person using that kit. Lucky? meh.
Probably a hacker or two every 1 in 15 games so far. Kinda annoying, but not a problem with the game itself.
It's fun, oddly. I expected it to be worse than the first one, which I thought was terrible.. My biggest pet peeve was the nade spam, and the maps were so cluttered i could never spot an enemy. Made me feel like i needed glasses, and an extra pair of eyes.
Oh well. The game is a blast for me so far.. though as leveling slows some i dread getting to those last few levels to get the final weapons I want... And prestige?.. heh.. doubt you'll ever see me do that. It's pretty silly to lose all that progress for a emblem or whatever that means... nothing.

The game loses its value quickly, especially MP. Marine, you like it now cuz its new. Trust me, that feeling will wither quickly when u realize how mundane, repetative, ruined, bugged, glitched, and etc. it is. Maybe u will whole-heartedly enjoy the game forever, but i doubt it

cant sprasy from the hip? they added dual wilding, you can actuly get 2 p90s how many more bullets do you need to spray? and snipers headshots dont always kill thanks to the wondrfull idea of death streaks, i hate this game even the SP isnt as good as the first game, there are some good moments. when the emp gose off that lvl is nuts but thats it. the first game had alot of epic tense moments that il remember for a long time. when your crawling throu the feild hideing from the russians goin to assassinate some guy and of course the nuke going off halfway throu. it was perfectly paced the first few missions were intence but still kept it slower not as frantic but by the las mission your sprinting throu the hallways to stop the nukes it was awsome. mw2 didnt have that. they had a fucking crazy mission right off the bat then a stealth is mission for a few sec then back to crazy with a bs snowmobile chase then a crazy mission. but the last mission is slow the passing of the game actuly feels backwards to me.
in short i hate this game, i will not be getting another mw game and it will be a hard sell to get me to buy any IW games from now on.
