mp3 to ringtone converter?

anyone got a program to convert mp3 into ringtone format *.mmf ?

Depending on your phone you should be able to use an mp3 as a ringtone.
I just got a Nokia e71, and Nokia has a program to transfer data. Is asks me if i want to convert the file to an mmf. I do to save space - the quality isn't lacking. I think it is called Nokia PC Suite. Drag and drop - convenient.
If you don't have a Nokia I can't help you. Sorry bud.

try this program called Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ , if you are going to be using mp3s you need the Lame.dll , mostly likely its already on your computer, just do a search for it when/if it asks for its location, i found it in my winamp install folder.... you can use audacity to cut the file up, raise the volume and export the file into a few filetypes. it might be able to do mmf, otherwise use this

Try Switch by NCH Swift Sound (www.download.com, it's free)
it does a whole whack of audio-related conversions, is free, very small/simple to install (works with vista 32-bit at eeast), and it's ridiculously easy wih many encoding options..

those are all good progs , but ive tried a few of them and still cant do it.. i cant do it manually, its way too hard. i need a prog that has a &quotne click" convert from mp3 to mmf!
