Motorcycle riders

Anyone in the TD ride motorcycles? If do, what do you ride? I'm just getting into it, staring in the course tommoro. Im looking at getting a ninja 250 or something.

Lil 250 Ninjas are a lot of fun man... Make sure you buy some sliders and get really good threads... depending on your height and weight you may want to look into a ninja 500 or gs500 though... but stay away from anything bigger than that for the first year

iCe needs the larger, more powerful bikes between his legs to make up for what's naturally lacking there.

Insurance on my 600 was like $30 a month... it's really not bad. How fast your bike is is completely controlled by you. Have some self control and you can get as big a bike as you want. (as long as you're not a 120 lb dude who can't hold up a big bike)

i want a bike really badly but my mom always just seems completely shocked and appalled whenever i bring it up. fuckin sick!

HA.... but ya dude if you're that tall I'd say get a cruiser for some experienmce then once you've caught the hang of it get a sports bike... you can atleast put some extenders on a cruiser... and insurance will be a hell of a lot cheaper per cc

Auron... terrible idea hahah... maybe it never happened to you but i've seen guys hit a bump and blip the accelerator back and then watched them road paste themselves... the best option is to get a cheap started bike... resale value is high and if you screw up you won't hurt yourself as to bad

I dunno, I started on a 600. I grew up riding dirtbikes and fourwheelers though. I guess it depends on who you are. If you're the kind of person who checks your blind spot 5 times before you switch lanes (or zero times for that matter) or you've never driven anything with a clutch, or it's been years since you've even ridden a bike............ I would just get a moped. Or stick with the car.

Pyroette, I got mine and didn't tell my dad for like 3 months. He found out when the license bureau sent shit to HIS house for it. WEAK! He ended up being ok with it and bought a harley a few months later.

I'll bet you he went down a lot more than he's admitting to. Don't worry iCe, we're gonna be judging you either way so you might as well come clean.

I know a cruiser would be better for a tall dude like myself. but I pretty much only like bullet bikes. so im goin for a ninja 250r, its nice and sporty, and the resale value is high like you said. I looked on some forums and plenty of 6' + guys ride 250r's and like it.

If I end up not liking it you have full permission to say I told you so =p

hahah well man get into what you can... see if you can get some plank extenders they put the pegs about 2 inches back and a tiny bit down... if ur long legged it will for sure help... but slow speed will really be a bitch... depending on where you live you can drop by my office and we'll let you sit on some bikes...

As for you Auron your history with dirtbikes and 4-wheelers is a definite asset in riding a street bike. I used to do that fun stuff myself before I got my licence... the best way to learn how to ride is on dirt... It tends to not hurt as much when you fall!
