donno if anybody plays it but thats not importent. basicly when you load a world it generates it randomly. since it generates a "flat" worls i wanted to reach the edge of it so i started walking while watching TV. after 4 episodes of criminal minds i got board and googled to see if it was possible to find the edge, just wanted to share the shear size of this game
the world generated is 3.24E32 blocks
edit: generates the world as you play so obviously nobody would ever reach these extremes
each block represents 1 cubic meeter.
this is a world 36 165 times larger than the earth. to put that in prespective the sun is only 11 990
given the speed the charecter in the game walks it would take 13.6years to walk from the center of the map to the edge.
now hears the cool part,
assumeing each block represents 1 byte of data
it would take 65536 yottabytes (024 gigabytes, a petabyte is 1024 terabytes, an exabyte is 1024 petabytes, a zettabyte is 1024 exabytes, and a yottabyte is 1024 zettabytes)
inorder to store this whole wolrd it would take 72,057,594,037,927,936 1TB HDDs wich if lined up end to end would be just over 1 light year long.
i think this qualifyes as the bigest game ever made?
