They didn't buy Mojang, they bought Minecraft. It occured to me today that with Microsoft buying Mojang what will happen to their other projects? Will they get a boost because the still have the same people working for them or will they just get shelved?
They didn't buy Mojang, they bought Minecraft.
Mojang is still running and now able to spend more time on other projects rather than dedidating time and people to one game.
Well then fuck, they derped.Alas no, they actually brought out Mojang as a hole not just Minecraft. Read the letter on the Mojang site.
I heard about this. That really sucks that they bought minecraft. I used to play it daily, but then it just.... lost it's touch. The new updates get lazier and lazier, nothing new that matters is added in. It's what happens with most companies. They get big, then they sell out. I don't blame The Good Sir Markus.Alas no, they actually brought out Mojang as a hole not just Minecraft. Read the letter on the Mojang site.

Scrolls is good though. Hopefully microsoft won't change that.
Change is what keeps companies, especially ones in the tech business, alive. What you paid for was absolutely no guarantee of the future/updates either, rather just for what had already been developed, which is still fully accessible to you and likely will remain so regardless of any changes Microsoft chooses to make.
Change isn't always good. http://www.pcgamer.com/telltale-are-making-a-minecraft-game/
I didn't mean to imply that change is always good, rather than you shouldn't expect any product, particularly one you paid a one-time flat rate for with no guarantee of future developments, to remain exactly the same. The part you do have a guarantee of is past developments, which you'll still have access to unchanged.
I don't really understand why the new Telltale Minecraft game is a bad thing. I might be missing something since I haven't looked at it in detail. but how does it affect your product in any way? It's an entirely separate product. Are you saying your hot dog isn't as good because someone else got a one too?
