TF2 Microphone age limit and vote kick

Im sorry but there are some kids voices who I really don't want to hear on the servers. Maybe an age limit, say 12 and under, is not allowed to use the microphone. also, the votekick will make it so that players can remove that that is too young to be using the microphone. I don't look forward to going to a server and hearing in a high pitched pre birthed child going DOES ANYONE HAVE A FORCE OF NATURE??!?!? IM LOOKING TO BUY A FORCE OF NATURE?!! ANYONE HAVE IT??! ILL BUY IT OFF OF YOU?!!? If you trade on tf2, you know what I mean.

Correct. But my voice has pretty much gone through puberty so its not the squeaky annoying stuff that it used to bbe.

4. Click mute.

Seriously though, it doesn't matter your age as long as you follow the rules.

I disagree with muting people on a trading server, because, who knows? They might want to buy your stuff and then they can't. So I usually wait the few minutes until they realize people don't care and then they stop anyway. No age requirement, because I have seen more mature younger people on the trade servers, and have seen some very tf2 rich 12 year old's :P.

This kind of attitude wouldn't make your Admin App any better for yourself.
Now knowing that you will probably mute people just because they have a high pitched voice wont exactly go in your favour.

I might have been stereo typing a little. Really its not the voice but the words. Im fine if the person is doing whaht they should be doing (this goes for all people), but when they start screaming in the mic/ not talking about trade anymore or anything that just simply annoys the hell out of everyone in the server, I feel like i owe everyone a favor to end the madness. Skial trade had a great thing going on in there servers. If a player was abusing the chat or mic. there would be a vote to mute/gag that perosn. There were no mic. spam problems on that server. Another reason I don't mute them is because the person might have a potential trade offer and I don't want to mute him so I could hear it.

EDIT: Could there then possibly be a rule that Mic-abuse is not allowed. It would help if a message said that on the screen once in a while.

Politely I try, but my voice or reason gets shrouded by the thousands of voices of true haters screaming at the child to go home and kill himself, followed by the wave of comments in the chat to STFU, which is equally matched by the shear hell that emerges from the voice of the target. And that, my friend, is TF2 trading servers. Rince and Repeat

Well that's no fun. I do do it sometimes but other times I either wait for it to die down, or I contact an admin to end it.

If someone is constantly spamming the server with nonsense on a microphone, please take a few minutes to record a Demo and send it to the DARLKY staff, here -> http://www.darklygaming.com/forum/forums/scammer-reports-and-ban-requests.123/

If there are no admins around, you should probably do that then afterwards go into your Menu, Mute Players, Mute <imbecile>.

This isn't a problem and it shouldn't be, an Age Limit is hilarious because the limit to use Steam and all products, as well as play a rated M game, are not enforced by the ESRP, furthermore, your experience may vary. (Plus, it's impossible and unethical getting people's ID over a game, how the fuck can you manage this?)

Screaming in the mic is fair enough, I agree with you that it can get annoying. But usually a simple warning through Admin chat will get them to stop. Or just politely ask them to calm down, for those non-admins. If it becomes a problem, feel free to add me on steam and ask me to come on and have a word with them.
As for not talking about trades, people are free to use their microphone however they want, as long as it isn't abusive. You're basically saying here that people don't have the freedom to just have a nice conversation just because they are on a trading server.
