Map voting

Hey what happened to that cool map vote thing that was on the server for a while but never worked? It came up after the map ended with all options and you used the f keys to vote? Did it not end up working right? The current SM way sucks to vote and if that other vote system worked it was far superior to SM imo.

I never actually got to see it, but that was Valve's new built in map vote. It caused an issue with Sourcemod in general. I'll look into it if that's been resolved in the newer SM snapshots.

Do you remember if it showed non-Valve maps?

I actually can't remember but I feel like yes. Only because I recall the map list being MUCH longer than just the stock maps. Obviously that's not ideal though. The way SM makes only 5 options and you can't vote recent maps is necessary.

Sucks you never got to see it because it was AWESOME. So much better than voting at round start or mid round.

It seems by disabling Sourcemod's mapchooser.smx & nextmap.smx plugin, it should work. Maybe I'll set it to Valve's system tonight and see what happens. I don't see any commands to limit the amounts of maps shown, though.

Oh, maybe still is an issue:
Not only does mp_endmatch_votenextmap get ignored but the winning map in the vote is also ignored regardless of the value of mp_endmatch_votenextmap. On any custom map server (not using the workshop), the vote shows the correct map names from the mapgroup but ignores the winning map and changes to a random standard map that is not even in the map cycle.

This is a ridiculous bug and has completely destroyed all servers that run non-stock maps.

Anyone play on other servers that run custom maps (not exclusively from Workshop),have Sourcemod, and use the Valve mapvote system?

OK fair enough. I hope they get it straightened out soon cause if it worked properly it'd be awesome.

Thanks for looking into it.
