SO... Friday is my birthday and i want to buy myself something for the computer. Looking at getting a SSD now, all i am looking for right now is a 60gb
to put my OS on and maybe CS:S and BF3. I have been looking at the Corsair Force GT, does anybody have any recommendations?

Vertex 2/3. Don't buy the lowest line in any series from any manufacturer as the small price gap between it and the 'medium' (in SSD world medium still means amazing lol) are somewhat small but worth the performance gain and reliability increase (coming from my bro, cousin, and some friends who own them). I have to buy one as I'm waiting on ivy bridge to upgrade my computer :(

I had 60 Gb and it was always lack of space if it Win7 + Programs + Steam. So I will recommend 90 or 120 they are much cheaper now than 2 year ago. Intel 320 series had very nice discounts and 70-120 MIR on December holidays, but I don't see it anymore. Intel's SSD are very good and reliable. Don't look at 500Mb/s speeds, you don't need it for usual tasks. Most advantages of SSD is random access time and "spin up" time. As concerns today market analysis, quick look is pop-up this deals:

Boxing day my brother picked up that deal at Canada Computers (Intel 320), the price is a bit higher now, but if they were selling at that price, I am sure they will do that again soon.

if it has a 2nd gen SandForce controller it's the best out, so the cheapest one of those will do. It's the same with different manufacturers as video card; none of them are offering anything fundamentally different they are just offering the window-dressing.

edit: I don't mean nVidia vs AMD but rather Asus, Palit, XFX, eVGA... most of the time their only contribution is the heatsink
