Try being black in a white establishment. And I mean an establishment that has been strictly white in the upper echelons for well over 200 years. Black folk maybe cracked that celiing in the 80s and 90s, but you've got to be joking me if you believe they have had any lasting impression yet. It's called being a president (a position that does not have as much power, depending on who you knew/know in your private life) with an opposition party controlling Congress that has an offical message with racial undertones to it, especially in the South and Mid-West (Being called a socialist is clearly an allusion to helping poor black folk on welfare, because the guy is about a bland as centrist as you'll ever see)
