USA _was_ oil rich, in the 60's, now they have a lot of tight gas/shale reserves (but they can't get to those, because they won't frac)

Sorry chum, USA is tapped. They do have a one or two, but its deep and hard to reach, whereas you can access teh saudi oil with a shovel.

we are fracing currently here in PA and i believe they are doing the same in ND where unemployment is what i have heard in that area under .5%.

Fraccing isn't any worse for the environment than standard openhole drilling. I don't mind intelligent dialogue to improve process, but nothing bothers me more than when some dummy activist rolls up in his gas guzzling "fuel economic car" (diesel is far more economic than high octane gas), drinking from his plastic water bottle, spouting off after some bullshit article he read on the web.

Fraccing technology is the key to unlocking "huge", and I mean, you can't comprehend how big they are, reservoirs of natural gas.

Americans to me are generally fat and lazy sociopaths expecting an everlasting blow job from the rest of the world. There needs to be more of a balance in the standard of living between the chinese and american for example, and for one to go up, the other must go down, that's just how it is. I think Obama knows this and he's doing the best he can to get that done even with his hands tied. Stability is most important for the economy to recover, and Obama is probably the best candidate in my opinion to keep this balancing out as smooth and peaceful as possible. I sincerely hope he wins the next election. If the republicans win I would expect the USA to get in another war quite quickly and end up losing big time, be in a even bigger hole then they are in now, probably go back to the barter system as the USD fully collapses, wont be fun.
