Laptop Problems

So I'm playing LoL and my screen freezes and it looks like a checkered board of all colors and then it unfreezes back to normal except that my mouse is now invisible and I can't see to click anything. Also it just go black sometimes and I restart my computer, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't but yeah. Prolly the video card but anyone got any suggestions.

Trust me I have thought of that, I actually planned on showing my gf Office Space this week since she hasn't seen it cuz I make a lot of references to that movie. haha

Highly indicative of an overheating graphics card. Obviously I can't be 100% certain, but that is the most common symptom of an overheating graphics card that I think of.
As for suggestions, get a cooling pad. They'll cost you about $30-50 for a good one, but I use one and they're really worth it. Also, when gaming on a laptop, make sure you remove the battery and just use the A/C cable, then prop the laptop up a little bit: I use a cork plate (the thing you put under a hot pot of soup so it doesn't burn your table/tablecloth). This is will reduce heat and hopefully cure your issues.

yeah, sounds like gpu overheating. maybe the fan died.
