your loss. BF3 is gonna kick ass.

How do you figure? It's pure franchise bullshit. BF piggybacks off the success of the CoD franchise, and the CoD franchise owes all of its success to the Quake engine which explains very clearly what both of these franchises are about: war-themed deathmatch arcade.

If you like that kind of tedious, Jolt-fueled action, then enjoy parting with yet another $60 for what is essentially BF2 with some updates. I'm sure the people who don't care much for deathmatch with headscarves and AKs instead of nailguns and zombie corpses will much rather prefer the money in pocket.

LOLWUT? BF mimicing CoD? You clearly dont know fuck all. Death match is a great game mode for FPS games. It gets tedious when they are small map games like CoD, Quake, URT, CSS:DM, mini-battlefield(BC2), and the like. How the fuck else should BF be? round based like CSS? LOL? You smoke crack bro?

I dont really understand how you can say this game is just a updated BF2.

I am interested to hear what you think a good game is. You obviously have a pretty backwards opinion of FPS gaming if you think the battlefield series is just more of the same.

This is Flat out LOLZ
BF:1942 came out in 2002 and CoD came out in 2003
CoD has ripped off everything from everyone, fuck they even ripped off an old CS 1.6 map Karachi which is just low, really really low. de_karachi was an awesome map too :(

CoD multiplayer is totally different then BF multiplayer yes they are the same concept, but totally different games tactically, anyone who's played both should know this.

Really? can't you just say your opinion with out adding the whole motherly "I don't approve of how you spend your own money"?

From the looks of it I'm sure as hell going to enjoy my pre-ordered BF3, http://youtu.be/2zw8SmsovJc

do you want a joystick or a yolk? I tend to do a lot of flight sim because of the career path I've chosen but for like combat flight sim I bought a cyborg F.L.Y. 5 joystick at Best Buy for like 45$ and it's actually really awesome and the best joystick I've ever had. You can even customize it

Really? I have the R.A.T 7 and it's O.K nothing amazing, good to know they make decent joysticks.

whoa man didnt mean to offend ya if you want it you want it i just been burned by the bugs in EA products way too much to give them another dime of my money. Seems like PC doesn't get much love in terms of games lately, everything is aimed at the console crowd and EA is the one at the head of the pack in marginalizing PC by not providing due support or updates for the PC versions. No doubt BF3 LOOKS like a dope game, but so did Black Ops...

edit: and yeah, CS is what I think a good game is. Hell, I think it's a great game or I wouldn't be playing it after a decade still even though it looks like ass and everything is pretty simple. Even this many years later the concept for CS is still fresh because there aren't a whole lot of other round-based, team-objective FPS with a monetary system for buying weapons. For some reason devs still have faith in class-system, capture-the-flag style gameplay which could be awesome for competitive gaming but isn't a whole lot of fun for people playing in a pub where players come and go so being strategic and working as a team really doesn't play out as the game's style seems to demand.

I would love to see a FPS that can take over from CS but so far all we're really getting is franchises that people abandon once a new edition is released. The issue here is that developers aren't being paid to think up revolutionary new game ideas that may be incredibly successful because it's hard for EA to make profit off a BF2 or BF3 if BF1 was already designed perfect and there's no need for the other two.
