Stupid crap economy is making it impossible find a job. Been trying to find a job in Austin, Tx so that I can move back up there - since September. Literally applying to at least one job every day (usually more than one). A handful of interviews, but no luck. The combination of Austin competition, crap economy, and decent pay makes it ridiculous! Aaaahhh

On a side note, I have been slacking (understatement) in regards to posting - i'll be looking to change that here soon. You have been warned ; D

I heard Texas is one of the more competitive/richer areas (higher priced housing etc). I guess, really, that's a good thing because that means job creation as well as tough competition. I wish you the best of luck buddy!

4 years ago i was supposed to move to Kent Texas but my wife got cold feet and screwed that up. I had a job lined put and was just about to buy a house, 5 acres 3/4 of a mile from the Lake 5 bedrooms 3 car garage 2 1/2 baths built in 2005 $130,000 and she changed her mind i was PISSED. I was starting at $25 an hour with a company work truck. Wife was scared i would get laid off, i ended up getting laid off here any way.

Im currently working 82 hours a week 5am-7pm monday-friday and 5-5 in saturday. Busier than busy we can't find enough electricians to fill our demand and this is going to stay like this into october with the work we have right now with more coming in.
