iTunes/iPod help, yo...

So I have a first generation iPod touch and for about 2 years now I've been buying all my music/movies/music videos off of iTunes, which isn't the problem.
My problem is, is that I come across a music video I want to download, like right now, and piece-of-shit iTunes doesn't carry it.

Does anyone know how I could rip the video from youtube without losing audio or having to go through the hell of trying to figure out how to convert .flv's and shit?
I remember I was able to do this before I starting buying my stuff... but I can't remember and I've been ripping my hair out trying to get it to transfer to my iPod.

Either way you can use http://vixy.net/ to quickly convert .flv online. Don't need to download the software.

Hmmm actually with vixy some videos keep audio, other lose it....

i use a program like
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6584
to grab the video, then i use another video converter program to convert from .FLV to an .mpeg for uploading to ipods or in my case Zune.

I used to use Youtubeget, lets you download straight to ipod spec etc.. dont remember if its free or not but there's 'copies' online.

47 has a point, only reason I have an ipod is because my deck in my car is only "ipod" ready, no aux.
