It starts up... then it's gone.

So I've got this PC my dad "borrowed" from his office for me to fool around on, and I've been trying to run CS:S on it because my other pc and laptop are even shittier than this one strictly meant for paperwork... but anyway. The installation is smooth, it seems like the game is going to load up just fine... except it loads like this: http://i39.tinypic.com/2afcw2c.jpg and then it just quits without a trace. It's Windows 7, AMD64 Athlon is what the sticker says is the video card.

Maybe it's conflicting resolution sizes. Change the rez in your options before loading CS to one that fits your desktop?

haha. that's part of the issue. Win7 gives me a grand total of 3 options for screen resolution. 800x600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024. <-i'm on this, i'll try it at 1024x768.

edit: so i was able to find a legacy driver for my ATI Radeon Express Series 200 (even I know this is ass) and now it works. so this can be closed. tnx.
